We are delighted to announce the finalisation of Allison Architects Cambuslang Extension on Balmoral Drive.

Allison Architects have now successfully completed fourteen extension projects in Cambuslang and are right now commencing designs for our seventeeth with two others under construction. We have completed twenty eight projects in total in the South Lanarkshire area.

Our architects initially worked closely with our Cambuslang clients to develop designs to create a large open-plan kitchen dining space, new spacious utility room and new shower room wc.

The existing house had a small kitchen space with an adjacent formal dining room which is so often the case with the classic Victorian sandstone villa. Our architects examined all the opportunities and options available for extension of the house to make the best possible use of the existing spaces to ensure best possible value for money for our Cambuslang clients.

Our architects initially developed a design which only incorporated the sandstone section of the final design. The clients later asked if the extension could be increased in size by demolishing the garage and this led us to explore the concept of adding on the zinc faced element.

This design then developed into the current form which is the juxtaposition of the industrial zinc element, which replaces the garage, interlocked with the refined ashlar sandstone element which complements the fabric of the main house.
