Extension Design in Glasgow – The Brief

The clients were looking for architects who specialise in Heritage Homes for their extension deisgn in Glasgow and they decided to work with us at Allison Architects.

The existing house was built at the turn of the century. The design had to then be extremeley sensitive to the existing architecture to complement the existing style and finish.

The final design was to extend the existing kitchen into the small utility room. we then knocked through between the kitchen and dining room. We then knocked through into the rear of the garage which we converted and this became the dining space and the utility room.

The Design

The rear of the house has a two storey gable extension to tie in with the existing. The single storey wrap around extension then acts as a contemporary jewel-like addition.
