Project Overview

Another of our development projects, our architects project manager the design phase for a total of four, three bedroom mews style properties in the west end of Glasgow.

The Design

This project presented a few more challenges in comparison with your average development project because the properties were to be constructed in a conservation area.

Consequently we had to carefully select our materials so that the building would blend in to the existing surroundings so we used sandstone, natural slate and timber framed windows.

We were also able to demonstrate our creativity through the facade design, floor to ceiling glazing, zinc wrapping around the dormers and cedar cladding installed between each window opening.

The end result was a property which blended in well with the area and one that met all of the controls defined in the conservation area.
