Jordanhill Architects New Build Garden Office and Raised Terrace

Project Overview

Our Jordanhill clients chose Allison Architects from a number of Jordanhill Architects to develop a beautiful and truly useable super-shed home office design and raised deck design for this Victorian Semi-detached sandstone house in Jordanhill.

We demolished the existing garage and refurbished the exsiting garage base plinth for reuse. We then designed the stand alone office to be a fully insulated and heated space with a front unheated storage section which can be accessed from the driveway to store bikes and roof racks.

Jordanhill Architects – The Brief

Our Jordanhill Architects worked closely with the clients to develop the super-shed design to give the clients a much needed home office space for home working. The build was executed with precision detail by Maxwell’s Bespoke Joinery.

The Design

Our clients were keen to use the location of the existing garage so as not to lose precious garden space. We developed a design using a natural slate roof, white render and western red cedar. The grey aluminium banding around the building is then echoed in the banding of the raised terrace.
