soft play area, cosmic play cafe

Our client required the development of a new soft play area which was to be constructed around a 1950s, kids science fiction network theme. The existing café area already proved popular but the client wanted to add an extra dimension to the business. We were conscious that the new play area needed to be close enough to the café area but far enough so the customers could enjoy a relaxing refreshment away from the noise of the play area. From our experience working with brands such as Marks and Spencer cafés, we implemented what we had learned through this project and applied it to the Cosmic play café. The design that we developed included sound deafening ceiling rafts and acoustic flooring to minimise noise and clatter from the cups and trays to create a unique cafe space which was relaxing even though it was situated in the middle of a soft play centre.
