Stephen is Managing Director and Principal Architect at Allison Architects.
He is responsible for the day to day running of the practice, client care, business development and he oversees all design work produced by the team.
As the creative director Stephen is dedicated to in depth examination of the opportunities within an existing building or the brief for any new build in order to find the optimum design for each project combining beauty, practicality and cost effectiveness for clients in all sectors.
He established Allison Architects in 2008 and since then has brought over 23 years experience of architectural design to homes, businesses and organisations across Glasgow and Scotland.
He studied architecture at the University of Westminster and Strathclyde University spending time at the University of Kansas, The Moscow Architecture Institute and Harvard University.
He has worked with some renowned organisations such as Foster and Partners in London, before returning to Glasgow where he joined Reid Architecture where he proved instrumental in leading the M&S new Plan A Sustainable design initiative.
Stephen is a father of three and lives with his family at their home in East Dunbartonshire.
