Stephen is the founder and Principal Architect at Allison Architects. Stephen asked for a drawing board for Christmas in Primary 7 and by the age of twelve had designed his first full house. Stephen studied architecture at the University of Westminster in London following his time at the University of Strathclyde. He was a leading designer at Foster and Partners where he led key projects in architecture, interior and furniture design most notably on projects such as HMS Treasury in Whitehall and The Winspear Opera House in Dallas Texas. Stephen’s true passion now lies in the transformation of peoples’ lives through the transformation of their homes. Stephen is married and is a father of three and lives in East Dunbartonshire.
John is a Director and our highly experienced Chartered Technologist. He is responsible for the day to day running of the drawing office, projects, client care and business development. He studied Architecture at The MacIntosh School of Architecture before becoming a Technologist and going on to become a Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists in 2006Joining Allison Architects in 2018, John brought over 30 years experience in the residential, industrial, retail, commercial, leisure and domestic sectors. John is a father of two and our resident rugby fanatic. He lives with his family at their home in East Dunbartonshire.
Rebecca is an Associate Director at Allison Architects and has been with the practice for over half a decade. She studied at Strathclyde University where she gained her Masters Degree in Architectural Design which honed her passion for domestic architecture and focusing on sustainability. Rebecca has worked at various Architectural practices across Glasgow that primarily focus on residential design both domestic and larger residential developments where she has developed plenty of on-site experience. Rebecca has a keen interest in sustainability and has been training towards becoming a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor which will help clients improve the energy efficiency of their homes.
Sinje is a design minded architectural designer who has worked with Allison Architects since early in 2017. Sinje graduated with a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from the University of Hanover. She has worked as a tutor at the University of Hanover and has experience in practice both in Germany and Scotland.
Flori is a Part II Architectural Assistant who joined the team at Allison Architects in 2020 during her Part I year out. She continued working part time whilst returning to her studies, eventually graduating with a Diploma of Architecture from The Mackintosh School of Architecture in 2023. Flori is a natural designer and enjoys working closely with clients to help them achieve their ambitions and is currently working towards her Part III.
Lucy is a Part 1 Architectural Assistant who recently graduated from the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow, following the completion of an HND in Architectural Technology from City of Glasgow College. Lucy is a highly talented designer and has excellent 3D modelling and visualisation skills.
